Scout Camp Trail-

Hikers_confluence

3 mile loop

The Scout Camp Trail meanders towards the rim of the Deschutes River Canyon, then heads steeply down to the river.  After a short scramble over some boulders along the river, the trail heads back up to the canyon rim alongside some fascinating geological formations.

The trail is rated "very difficult" and includes some steep and rocky sections.  In spite of its difficulty, the loop trail is in great condition and the spectacular views are worth the effort--bring a pair of trekking poles if you usually have trouble with steep terrain.
