Cathedral Rock & Horse Heaven Proposed Wilderness Areas: The proposed Cathedral Rock and Horse Heaven Wilderness Areas are 8,686 and 8,015 acres, respectively, about 4 miles apart.  They encompass dramatic basalt cliffs and rolling hills of juniper, sagebrush, and grasses.

Sutton Mountain, Pat's Cabin, Painted Hills and Dead Dog proposed Wilderness Areas: Totally over 58,000 acres, these 4 areas surround the Painted Hills National Monument and represent some of the best of Eastern Oregon's Wild High Desert.
