on BLM's Draft Programmatic EIS for Geothermal Leasing in the Western U.S. While recognizing the importance of geothermal and other sources of low-carbon-emission energy, the comments point out that the DPEIS fails to study important issues such as the environmental consequences of opening to geothermal development public lands that possess outstanding wilderness values.

 

Freedom of Information Act

May 17, '07 - ONDA signs on to letter to Congress advocating for amendment that would close loopholes in the Freedom of Information Act, help the public get timely responses to information requests, and increase government accountability. On Dec. 31, 2007, the President signed the bill into law.
