Ecology and Restoration of Oregon's Wild Deserts
Less well-known than the state's wet-side, Oregon's drier east side compromises over half of the state and includes beautiful and ecologically important areas such as Steens Mountain, the Owyhee Canyonlands and Hart Mountain Wildlife Refuge.
Each year volunteers with the Oregon Natural Desert Association (ONDA) take part in numerous restoration and monitoring projects in some of the most spectacular and isolated public lands in Oregon. Whether you like counting birds, planting trees, or removing old fences, there is something for every age and ability. Please join us as Oregon Natural Desert Association staff member, Devon Comstock shares information about the incredible areas they are working to protect and how you can get involved in restoring these valuable places!
