Oregon Natural Desert Association’s
3rd Annual WILDERNESS DAY!
Description: The Wilderness Act was signed in September of 1964. Since its passage over 2.3 million acres of Wilderness have been designated in Oregon. In 2009, 125,500 acres of Oregon wilderness was added, including 40,000 acres of high desert wilderness. ONDA is celebrating native deserts with group hikes and work parties in local wilderness areas. Trips will take place in both the Badlands Wilderness and nearby proposed wilderness areas.
