Ask a Pair of Experts: Environmental Policy
June 16, 2020 @ 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Join us to “talk shop” with ONDA’s in-house experts on environmental policy, Program Director Mark Salvo and Senior Attorney Mac Lacy. We’ll reflect on the history of ONDA’s legal work, share thoughts on how Covid-19 might impact conservation policy, and take your questions!
This is an interactive digital event, which you can live-stream from the comfort of your home. Registration has now closed for this event.
Meet Mac Lacy
Mac became ONDA’s staff attorney in 2001, after serving as student law clerk starting in 1999. Mac’s cases focus on wilderness, grazing, travel planning, imperiled species, and energy development issues on eastern Oregon’s public lands and he handles our Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) litigation.
Mac earned his undergraduate degree from Washington and Lee University and his master’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He received his Juris Doctor at Lewis and Clark Law School, graduating cum laude.
Meet Mark Salvo
As program director, Mark Salvo is responsible for supporting ONDA’s dedicated conservation staff and empowering our members to advance campaigns to protect, defend and restore wildlands, wildlife and other public values throughout southeastern Oregon.
Prior to coming to ONDA in 2020, Mark served as Vice President of Landscape Conservation at Defenders of Wildlife. He earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Oregon Clark Honors College and a law degree from the University of Oregon School of Law.
