Bridge Creek Cottonwood Planting and Caging
April 3 @ 5:00 pm - April 6 @ 10:00 am
Bridge Creek is one of the best examples of collaborative restoration in the Northwest. ONDA will be partnering with the Prineville BLM to continue almost two decades of restoration work on this important tributary to the John Day River.
Volunteers will help plant and cage over 1000 small cottonwoods above the banks of the creek. In addition to planting and caging, volunteers will help clean up any old cages left over from previous planting projects.
Trip highlights include seeing the incredible abundance of beaver activity along this creek up close and learning more about riparian restoration and recovery taking place in Central Oregon.
Challenges include potential rain and wind during this early spring trip.
