Celebrating Oregon’s Wild & Scenic Rivers
October 9 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
River guide and rafting company owner Zach Collier started dreaming about paddling all 58 of Oregon’s Wild and Scenic Rivers when he moved to Oregon in 2007. With the Wild and Scenic Act marking its 50th anniversary in 2018, his quest took on an approaching deadline. Come hear about the highs, the lows, and the flows from his adventures on Oregon’s high desert rivers.
About the speaker
Zach Collier has lifelong experience connecting people with the great outdoors. His first job was leading backpacking, mountain biking and kayaking trips at a Boy Scout camp. While studying mechanical engineering at Stanford, he spent his summers river guiding, and, eventually, he pursued a full-time career in the outdoor adventure travel industry. As the co-founder of Northwest Rafting Company, he has used his voice to lobby Congress to protect rivers and wilderness.
