Denny Jones Ranch Restoration Project #3
October 14 @ 5:00 pm - October 17 @ 5:00 pm
This is the third of three restoration projects on Denny Jones Ranch, a conservation property owned by the Burns Paiute Tribe, that ONDA volunteers will participate in during 2019. ONDA has been working with the Burns Paiute Tribe to achieve their restoration goals for this property since 2015 and is encouraged by the impact of our collective efforts.
On this trip, volunteers will prepare existing weed mats and plant shrubs and trees into the cleared mats. If time allows, we will remove some of the existing weed mats to allow established trees to sucker and grow.
You will enjoy morning and evening fires to cut the spring chill, live music, an optional trip to Juntura hot springs and exploring an incredible property owned by the Burns Paiute Tribe and managed as wildlife habitat.
