April 13 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

Free
This event is currently postponed due to public health concerns and will be rescheduled for a later date.

Hiking season is right around the corner!

One of the best times to hike in the desert is the late spring. Come to the Vale Library Conference room to get some helpful tips for maximizing the miles and enjoyment on your next desert hike, and get trip ideas for your next adventure in the Owyhee area.

Do you have concerns about water, navigation, camping, animals, desert driving and more? We will answer your questions and offer some new ideas for your next day, weekend, or multi-day hiking trip in Oregon’s high desert.

This presentation is co-sponsored by Friends of the Owyhee, an Ontario-based nonprofit with a mission to promote conservation advocacy, stewardship, and recreation in the Owyhee region of Oregon, Idaho, and Nevada.

Join us for a fun evening, and a chance to win some outdoor gear from ODT sponsors!
