There is a lot to love about Lakeview and the outdoors, especially since there are many miles of trail right out of town. One of the longer hikes in the region is becoming more established, and you may want to consider heading out for a day, or a week on the 750-mile Oregon Desert Trail this year.

Come learn about this exciting 750-mile desert route that traverses some stunning natural features in the high desert like the Hart Mountain National Antelope Refuge, Steens Mountain, and the Owyhee Canyonlands. Sections can be paddled, skied, hiked, biked, and explored on horseback! We’ll also share some opportunities to get involved in some trail work in the Fremont Forest later this year.
