For this High Desert Speaker Series event, follow along with Corie Harlan, ONDA’s Owyhee Coordinator, on an exploration of this incomparable region, its awe-inspiring natural landscapes, rich culture and history, key wildlife habitats and recreation hubs. Begin planning your next high desert adventure and learn about timely conservation initiatives you can support to counter threats to the region and ensure that the Owyhee stays wild.
About the Speaker
As ONDA’s Owyhee Coordinator, Corie Harlan is an enthusiastic champion for the rugged Owyhee Canyonlands that straddle the Oregon-Idaho-Nevada border. She has built and strengthened relationships with a diverse array of stakeholders who make the preservation of spectacular wild places like the Owyhee possible.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the talk begins at 7 p.m. All High Desert Speaker Series events in Portland are free and open to the public. Pre-registration is required and registration opens one month prior to each event in this series.
