Hart Lake Restoration and Juniper Removal

September 27 @ 5:00 pm - September 30 @ 12:00 pm

Our third year partnering with the Bureau of Land Management’s Lakeview District and local volunteers to celebrate National Public Lands Day by getting our hands dirty to restore our public lands.

Volunteers will work to remove recently expanded junipers from the base of Hart Mountain and plant riparian vegetation as well as pollinator plants on the north end of Hart Lake.

Trip highlights include celebrating our public lands with other volunteers and the BLM, camping under the fall colors of the aspens at Hart Mountain, and of course spending time soaking in the hot springs.

Challenges include varying tasks associated with juniper removal as well as potentially chilly nights.
