Hart Lake Restoration

September 22, 2018 @ 8:00 am - 4:00 pm

Our third year partnering with the Bureau of Land Management’s Lakeview District and local volunteers to celebrate National Public Lands Day by getting our hands dirty to restore our public lands.

Volunteers will construct a pathway and rehabilitate the Hart Bar Interpretive Site to improve the habitat and create a site where visitors can learn more about the Warner wetlands ecology on the northern shore of Hart Lake.

Trip highlights include celebrating our public lands with other volunteers and the BLM, camping under the fall colors of the aspens at Hart Mountain, and of course spending time soaking in the hot springs.

Challenges include varying tasks associated with juniper removal as well as potentially chilly nights.
