South Fork Crooked Riparian Planting
October 11 @ 5:00 pm - October 14 @ 10:00 am
Planting potted-plants along the South Fork of the Crooked river is quickly becoming a popular tradition among ONDA volunteers.
Work will involve digging holes and planting plants on the shores of the South Fork Crooked River.
The fall planting trips are amazing in that we get to look back on the growth of the previous years’ plantings, and see whole new little groves of happy plants where before there was only weeds and grass. The area is lovely, and there is plenty of space to roam and explore.
Challenges: The repetitive nature of planting can get wearisome, but we always encourage breaks to sit back and enjoy the landscape and conversation with the great people you are working alongside.
