Our Team

Bio:

Karina joined the ONDA team in 2021. As development coordinator, she maintains community engagement and fosters a connection to Oregon’s high desert, coordinates office volunteers and plans events. If you are one of ONDA’s many monthly donors, you can call Karina with any questions.

Karina grew up in St. Paul, Oregon and spent her childhood exploring the state with her family. She had always been fascinated with the high desert, but her love intensified after moving to Sisters in 2020. She earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing and Spanish at the University of Portland, and brought a background in non-profits and event planning with her to ONDA. Karina values community and looks forward to fostering a sense of community among desert advocates at ONDA.

When it is time to relax, Karina enjoys reading, baking, hiking, biking and spending time with family.
