Our Team

Bio:

Renee joined ONDA’s team in 2023. As communications manager, she elevates ONDA’s work, connecting people with the public lands found in Oregon’s high desert.

She comes with experience in both the communications and environmental sectors, serving as a copywriter for a large New York advertising agency and later a writer for environmental brands and organizations. She’s been the voice of national brands and has worked on campaigns for organizations such as Surfrider Foundation and the United Nations.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in communications with a minor in nutrition from Syracuse University, where she studied both writing and the impacts of sustainable food systems. Since then, she’s gone on to continue her education in environmental science. 

Growing up in the damp forests and broad coastlines of New York, Renee found herself drawn to the novelties of the desert. Renee moved to Bend in 2020 to pursue backcountry skiing, ultra running, and whitewater raft guiding. She loves exploring the endless opportunities for human-powered adventure across the Pacific Northwest.
