Defending Oregon’s High Desert Public Lands

May 20 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm

Free

We’re living through an unprecedented time for public lands conservation. Those of us who care deeply about wildlife and biodiversity, climate resiliency, and supporting communities who rely on healthy, intact wildlands, are looking on with increasing alarm as the Trump administration enacts its anti-conservation agenda.

Since before the new administration took office, ONDA has been preparing a strategic defense of Oregon’s high desert public lands.

Join us on May 20 for an online conversation with ONDA’s Executive Director, Ryan Houston and Conservation Director, Mark Salvo where we’ll cover the current situation on the ground, how ONDA planned for this and is now responding, and your pivotal role in pushing back against escalating efforts to rollback decades of conservation progress.

This presentation will shine a light on actions undertaken by federal leadership that present a clear threat to recent conservation gains as well as the sanctity and very existence of public lands. Wild lands, wildlife habitat, recreational resources, biodiversity, ecological integrity, community involvement and so much more are all at risk.

ONDA has been working to protect, defend and restore Oregon’s high desert for nearly 40 years, and we’re not about to stop now. We’re countering every threat and action with clear-eyed determination and thoughtful strategies and tactics that will ensure this landscape will thrive for generation to come.

Thank you for supporting these efforts, and please join us for this important conversation.
