Bio:

As engagement director, Hana leads Oregon Natural Desert Association’s engagement team and cultivates support for ONDA by connecting our community to the importance of Oregon desert conservation and inviting them to engage more deeply in our work.

Hana grew up in Bend and spent her childhood immersed in – and falling in love with – Oregon’s high desert and rural communities. Her interest in social science and community-building led her to earn a bachelor’s degree in sociology from Willamette University and pursue a career in the nonprofit sector. Before joining ONDA in 2019, she worked with organizations in Colorado, Washington, and Oregon in roles spanning public engagement, program and project management, fundraising and development, volunteer coordination, community outreach, and event management.

When she isn’t introducing her children to Oregon’s many natural wonders, Hana can be found at the farmers market, making music with friends, gardening, or cooking up something delicious with her family.
