Our Team

Bio:

Naomi joined ONDA in 2026 as our Community Organizer. Based in Bend, she works to engage partners and community members in advocating for and connecting with Oregon’s high desert.

Naomi’s background includes non-profit work, research, and education. She brings knowledge of public lands issues from her time as an applied researcher at the University of Oregon, studying perspectives on ecosystem management approaches throughout the state. Naomi also has a passion for science communication, deepened by her experience teaching middle and high school science in Hawai’i.

She received her M.S. from the University of Washington’s School of Environmental and Forest Sciences and her B.S. in Environmental Science from Pitzer College in California. Outside of work, Naomi enjoys trail running, backpacking, reading, and spending time with her husband and pup.
