Wild Desert Calendar

James Parsons   Website

Oregon Natural Desert Association publishes the Wild Desert Calendar every year to share the awe-inspiring photography from Oregon’s dry side. Each calendar features treasured Oregon public lands, from the Owyhee Canyonlands to the Deschutes River canyon, as well as intimate portraits of high desert wildlife and evocative prose.

The Wild Desert Calendar is a benefit of ONDA membership. Become a member today to receive a complimentary 2019 calendar in the mail next November.

2018 Wild Desert Calendars are sold out online, but you can still find them on the shelves of our business partners across the state. Scroll down for a list of retail vendors. Interested in becoming a business partner? Email Calendars@onda.org for more information.

“I came to Oregon 12 years ago from Texas. Texas, for all its size, has very little public land. Coming to Oregon has made me realize the special gift we as Americans have in our public lands. Volunteering with an organization like ONDA is my way of reciprocating for this gift. Through restoration efforts, I feel we are helping leave a better place than we found it. Through advocating for protection for public lands, we safeguard migration routes for animals and keep the land where it belongs: with the public.”

“If you spend enough time in the wild, it will change you. So it was for me in Oregon’s high desert, especially in the Owyhee Canyonlands.” To support ONDA, Bonnie says, is to strive to protect the very values of Oregon’s high desert that are critical to the human experience: quiet and connectedness with nature. “Oregon’s desert,” she says, “broadens your understanding of your relationship to all living things.”
