This is the third of three restoration projects on Denny Jones Ranch, a conservation property owned by the Burns Paiute Tribe, that ONDA volunteers will participate in during 2019. ONDA has been working with the Burns Paiute Tribe to achieve their restoration goals for this property since 2015 and is encouraged by the impact of our collective efforts. A quick, mid-week overnighter to build exclosure fences in preparation for planting at our newly installed beaver dam analogues (BDAs) on Hay Creek. You will build exclosure fences around areas that have been improved for planting work thanks to our newly installed BDAs. Planting native riparian plants alongside recently installed beaver dam analogues (BDAs) on Hay Creek. This trip is the culmination of a season of preparation work: building BDAs to irrigate dry planting areas and building exclosure fences to protect plantings until they are fully established.
